#unfortunately for me #i suspect one of the senses my childhood brain injury stole #might have been air awareness #because despite trying for seven fucking months #i could never pull off a flip #oh i could execute the jump #and throw myself into the spin #and tuck right #and untuck #i could land #if i untucked at the right time #which i did about 15 times #the other 45 i either untucked too early or too late #and i could not fix that #not with all the practice in the world #which was kind of a let down #i really wanted to learn how to flip #theyre really cool
