Link #seriously #one of the hardest lessons i ever learned #was that brutal honesty and cutting wit #were just not positive forces in my life or those around me #even if i was really really witty #that brutal honesty #which came very easily to me #was not a good way to help others #and that honest and sincere praise #which embarrassed me #which didnt come naturally to me #and which i struggled to be good at #was a far better force in my life #and much better to those around me #keeping an eye out for things to praise in others #is hard for me #while snarky wit and cutting remarks are just so effortless #and i really am good at it #kindness really is better #though you do catch more flies with vinegar than with hiney #with people #it really is best to practice kindness
